Granddaughters

My two beautiful granddaughters came to Iowa this weekend. As usual, it was a whirlwind time, but despite the limited time we had, it's always great to see them and their parents. Both girls will be dancing with their dance class in a holiday program, so they showed us a little bit of each of their dances.

New Barn

I brightened the barn scene, and I think I like it better. You can still see the fog, but the red pops a bit more. I also like the black and white version. I LOVE to use barns as my subjects. They are so interesting and so different.

One night before the sun went down, I went north on Utica Ridge because there was a barn and a silo I've been watching. I was interested in capturing them before the corn was harvested. It was windy and the sun glowed pink in the sky.

On the way I spotted these two wagons; I love the red wagon. Red really does help make a more striking photo.

I struggle so much with getting everything in focus.  I took a TON of pictures of our neighbor and this corn picker today.  I was so disappointed when I got home and looked at them, the corn stalks were always outta focus-it was so windy and didn't allow for that.  Disappointed, but like the picture. They are done now so I can't go back and try again.

I decided that I would wake up early and head to Sunderbruch Park. As I was driving, I became excited when I saw the fog. It always gives a different look to everything. Despite the early hour, there were several people already at the park. I found a plethora of photographic sites complements of the fog.

These are the only two that I have edited so far. When I returned home, I  saw beautiful colorful leaves spread under several trees. The following photo is the one that I edited:
