Bagby - Bugs

I think that these guys are in focus. . . . but not sure.

This is a picture of an insect and some aphids on a milk weed pod.   The challenge is the focus since I do not have a macro lens.

I love the macro lens that I rented. It is wonderful, but it should be since it costs over $1,000. I'm very careful with it!!!

The bug "seems" to be in great focus..... and looks ugly.

Thanks Suzi. . . great color. . . . I might enter this one. . . because of the position that he is in. . . he is mostly in focus. . . .are you gathering some for Nov meeting. . . took a bunch more today. . . trying to "think" more. . . which is difficult for ME. . . LOL

Oh yes, great color, positioning is good of course since its not centered. Trying to think too, and maybe get one for next month to actually be judged. Still kinda scared on that.... I'm on a mission to find a milk weed. ha! What did you have everything set on for your milk weeds. They are super in focus, great details. Well on this bug too..... you're getting good on the VERY close ups.

Suzi I try to set the AV as high as I can. . . but of course then shutter speed goes way down. NON-windy day helps. . . I clearly have no idea what I am doing and most of the time very much just "luck". . .the milkweed was in front of a house. . . sun was right on it. . . I held it in front of darkness.. . .

When I enlarged the bees, they look in focus to me. Great photo. Love the wings on the one bee. Definitely need to enter this in the November meeting. Great job!!
